A solid cylinder of mass 14.0 kg rolls without slipping on a horizontal surface.
 (a) At the instant its center of mass has a speed of 10.0 m/s, determine the translational kinetic energy of its center of mass.
(b) What is the rotational kinetic energy about its center of mass?
(c) What is its total energy?

   in the given problem the radius of solid cylinder must be given
   mass m = 14.0 kg
   speed of the centre of mass v = 10.0 m / s
(a)
   the translational kinetic energy will be      
   KET = (1 / 2) m v2
            = ......... J
(b)
   the rotational kinetic energy will be      
   KER = (1 / 2) I ω2
            = ........ J
   where ω = v / r
(c)
   the total energy is
   E = KET + KER
      = ........ J
