If a 3000-Ω heating filament is carrying a current of 0.04 A, what voltage drop is that current experiencing? Round the answer to 3 significant digits.

use Ohm's law:

    V = IR

here, I = 0.04A, R = 3000Ω

    ∴   V = 0.04A x 3000Ω
             = 120.V

the voltage drop is 120.V
