Question Details:
The distance between two successive maxima of a transverse wave is 1.30 m. Eight crests, or maxima, pass a given point along the direction of travel every 7.0 s. Calculate the wave speed.

Speed = distance /time
speed = 7 (1.30 m) / 7.0 s = 1.30 m/s
Spending precious time on a problem that results in a rating of "not helpful" or "somewhat helpful" is deemed a wasted effort. With certainty, I'll be sure not to provide assistance in that direction again.
 
PROBLEMS WITH CHEMICAL FORMULAS WILL BE ANSWERED FASTER IF PROPER CRAMSTER TOOLBAR FORMATS ARE USED.
