Solutions: This equation only has one solution.  The solution being -----> x = -2

If you got a graphing calculator i would just graph the equation then go into calculate and select zero which will give you x = -2, to check for more answers change the window size and zoom out and check, there are no other answers however.
If i make a mistake please let me know, dont be shy.
