Big O and Big-Omega Notation Help

Course Textbook Chapter Problem
Other Fundamentals of Algorithms N/A N/A
Question Details:
  I am having problems understanding the below two proofs.
I cannot find any instruction on how to prove these two .  I have alot of problems i have to prove if someone could work these two and explain i can follow their proof as i cannot find any examples to follow for help.
