Response Details:
First we assign each letter grade a number A-1, B-2, C-3, D-4, and F-5

Next we multiply each number and add them together

8(1) + 17(2) + 21(3) + 17(4) + 7(5) = 208
then we divide by the number of people (8+17+21+17+7)

208/70 =2.97

This number tells  us that the mean test gradest is greater than C but less than B. It is in fact really close to C

The mean, we take the number of people (70) and divide by two which is 35

If we start we the people in A, there are 8 people, and when we continue numbering people, the 35th person has a test grade a C

So the median test grade is a C

I'm not sure what you mean by percentage if u mean A(90-100), B(80-89), and so on. I don't think you can retrieve that value without knowing the individual grades.
