   I agree with this statement, for it expresses the idea that the key to happiness and success is not determined by the uncontrollable events, but rather by the manner in which one handles these events. In a card game, any player might be dealt a lucky hand, but it takes a skilled player to win the game regardless of the hand he or she was dealt. Similarly, any individual may be lucky enough to be dealt a life with little misfortune, but to succeed in the long run, one must possess the wisdom to learn from one's mistakes and the determination to overcome the obstacles one faces. Luck plays only a small role in determining the path upon which our lives lead us. What matters more is free will, for humans have the power to determine their own course in life regardless of the hand they were dealt.
