  1. The mass of drum E = 30kg, its radius is 375mm and its radius of gyration about its center is 250mm. The motor at A applies a constant Force of 380N in the cable at B. The mass of weight D is 40kg and it is initially moving at a velocity of 1.2 m/s downward. Find the angular velocity of E after 5 sec and the tension at O during the interval. Neglect all friction. (Hint: The tension in the left side of the rope is not equal to the tension in the right side of the rope when the system is moving).  Answer: 8.53rad/s. T = 368.3N. Give direction.
