Classical Mechanics Vector Mechanics for Engineers: Dynamics (8th) by Johnston, Beer, Clausen 16 154RP
Question Details:
I am unsure how to go about finding the reaction at point D for this problem.  If possible I really need the step by step description.  The 300 mm uniform rod BD of mass 3 kg is connected as shown to crank AB and to collar D of negligible mass, which can slide freely along a horizontal rod.  The vertical distance from A to D is 180mm and the length of AB is 60mm.  Knowing that crank AB rotates counterclockwise at the constant rate of 300 rpm, determine the reaction at D when theta equals 0
