Determine the intensity w of the maximum distributed load that can be supported by the hanger assembly so that an allowable shear stress of τ allow=13.5 ksi is not exceeded in the 0.4 in diameter bolts at A and B, and an allowable tensile stress of σ allow=22 ksi is not exceeded in the 0.5 inch diameter rod AB.

I don't know how to apply the force on the rod AB. The force from the distributed load is not acting at the joint A. Can you help me to solve this problem please? thank you.
