Response:
P=28bar=28*10^5 bar
m=50 ton/hr =50*10^3/3600 Kg/s  =13.888 Kg/s
but m=AV/v   ------------(1)
where A=πd^2/4
V=velocity of flow
v=specific volume
From steam tables at P=28bar at saturated conditions
v=0.071396 m^3/Kg
from 1
m=(πd^2/4*V)/0.071396
13.888=(πd^2/4*V)/0.071396
d^2=1.263/V  (d=internal diameter of pipe) -----(2)
we know that
σ(Hoops stress)= Pd/2t   --------------------(3)
σ= depends on the pipe material
u can find a relation between diameter and thickness of the pipe in the code book( i dont have the code)
now from equations 2 &3 u can get d provided V is known.
i think formulae would help u
