Pipe System Problem

Question Details:
Water flows from Tank 1 to Tank 2 through 300 feet of 4 inch cast iron pipe at a flowrate of 0.5 ft3/sec, as indicated in the sketch below.  The system includes a slightly rounded entrance at location 1, two regular threaded 45 degree bends at location 2 and 3, a fully open ball valve at location 4 and a sharp-edged exit at location 5.  Information on the loss coefficients is below.
 
Loss coefeicients:
 
Fully open globe valve: 10.0
45 degree bend 0.2
90 degree bend 0.4
Entrance (sharp edged) 0.5
entrance rounded 0.05
exit sharp edged 1.0
 
a. Calculate the head loss due to pipe friction
b. Calculate the head loss due to minor losses.
