Course Textbook Chapter Problem

Question Details:
a)  What angle (to the nearest hundreth radian) is complementary to 2.1 radians?
 
b)  Find the area (to the nearest hundreth of a square meter) of a sector determined by a central angle of 45 degrees on a circle of radius of 4 meters.

Response Details:
1.) Complements add up to 90, or π/2 radians
a radian is 180/π degrees, so 2.1 radians is 120.32 degrees
so the complement would be -30.32 degrees
to convert degrees back to radians, times by π/180
so you get the complement to be -0.529 radians

2.)I assume you have an area like:

this section is 45/360 times the area of a circle with the same radius:
πr2

so:
A=(45/360)π*16=6.283m2
