Question Details:
 
If  v1= 20 sin 105t V and    v2= 10 cos 105t V in the circuit. Find v via the loop method. (b) check your result using superposition principle.

Using superpostion theorem
Step 1
With v1 only (v2 reduced to zero by shorting)
Given
v1= 20sin105t
ω = 105 rad/sec
 
The impedance
Z1 = 500 +500j Ω
 
Using voltage divider rule
v' = 5.54/_-56.3o   V
 
Step 2
With v2 only (v1 reduced to zero by shorting)
Given
v2= 10cos105t
ω = 105 rad/sec
 
The impedance
Z2 = 461.5 - 307.7j Ω
 
Using voltage divider rule
 
 v" = 10.7 /_-56.4o V
 
The resultant voltage
v = v' + v"
v = 5.54/_-56.3o   + 10.7 /_-56.4o
v = 3.07-j4.61 +5.92- j8.91
v = 9 + j 13.52
v = 16.24/_56.34o V
v = 16.24 cos(105 t + 56.34o ) V
