Analog PD Controller
Course Textbook Chapter Problem
N/A Introduction to Control System Technology - 7th Ed - by Robert N. Bateson (Prentice Hall 2002) 13 13.32
Question Details:

Transfer function =
P =  = gain
D = RdCd = the derivative action time constant, seconds
α = = derivative limiter coefficient
Ro = Rf

Determine the value of R1, Rd and Rf for the analog PD controller in the above diagram, with P = 3.6, D = 12s and α = 0.1. Use a 100 μF capacitor for Cd.

My attempt:
D = RdCd
Transposing:
Rd = D/Cd = 12/100 μF = 120 KΩ

R1 from the equation α = R1/R1 + Rd
0.1 = R1/R1+ 120KΩ
0.1 R1 = R1 + 120 KΩ
R1 = R1 + 120 / 0.1

This is where I got stuck. Please help!

Response:
Rd = D/Cd = 12/100μ = 120kΩ
Using the given formule for the derivative action
