Response:

Dear,

Ofcourse, it may underestimate in real world since

Database systems for storing images and multimedia objects, consequently the objects and operations are becoming more complex thus degrading the performance of the whole application in RDBMS. Even though its dependence on SQL, relatively simple query optimization hence good performance, it is Inability to handle complex applications.Recently a new technology known as ORDBMS has evolved combining the object oriented capability of OODBMS and the optimized data retrieval feature of traditional RDBMS.

A relational database is composed of many relations in the form of two-dimensional tables of rows and columns containing related tuples. The rows (tuples) are called records and the columns (fields in the record) are called attributes. Each column has a data type. Various restrictions can be imposed on the data that can be stored in the columns, these are know as constraints. The main disadvantage of relational databases include their inability to handle application areas including spatial databases, applications involving images, and other applications that involve complex interrelationships of data. Support from vendors it is considered to be highly: successful so the market size is very large but many vendors are moving towards ORDBMS
