Question Details:
  In Fig. 1 below is a W16x50 horizontal beam that is bolted to a W8x48 vertical beam.  Find all reactions at the supports AND in the vertical beam.
  In Fig.2 is a plan view of the same drawing.  To the right is an existing set of beams.  Determine if extra bracing is needed to the existing structure.  Keep in mind that the vertical (W8x48) beam can swivel at it's fixed points. 
   If dimesions are hard to read in Fig. 1, horizontal is 24'-0",                                vertical is 16'-4".
