output voltage formula

Course Textbook Chapter Problem
N/A N/A N/A N/A
Question Details:
50 ohm load resistor consumes 1 W of power.  What is the output voltage of the power supply? thanks.

This seem like a algebra problem, but im just not that sure.  I wanna take 50 ohm and divide that into 1 W to get the output. but that seems too simple.

"thunk you very much "
Response Details:
V2/R = Power = 1 W
R = 50 ohm

So output voltage, V = √R*1= √50 V

I will be glad if you let me know about your confusion. Thanx!!!

Response Details:
we know R is 50 ohm
power equation is V2/R and that equals to 1W

so V=√50*1=√50

As we know that power equation is:V2/R
 Given Registancs R = 50 ohm
          Power  P  = 1W
     after putting in equation--

output voltage, V = √R*1= √50 V

i hope my work  will help you...Thanks
