assume 1 mole, you have 2x1.00794 + 2x12.011 + 4x15.9994 g
 
The mass of 1 mole of oxalate ion is 2x12.011 + 4x15.9994 g
 
The percent oxalate is
((2x12.011 + 4x15.9994 g) / (2x1.00794 + 2x12.011 + 4x15.9994 g)) x 100% =
88/90 x 100% = 98 %
