Question Details:
The reaction of H2 and Br2 was found to have a rate law of
k[H2][Br2]1/2.
Propose a 2 step mechanism for the formation of HBr from H2 and Br2. Experimentally, it was found out that atomic Br is a transient intermediate of the reaction.

the reaction mechanism is
H2 + 1/2 Br2 -----> HBr + H*
H* + Br -----> HBr
-------------------------
H2 + Br2 -----> 2HBr

Wrong coefficient of Br2 in the net eqn is 1/2... Please answer well before you post plss.
