Draw the product and mechanism then indicate which reaction would occur faster. Explain, use kinetics terminology-activation energy, rate determining step, etc.THF is reagent in both!!!

Response:
 Alkyl halides undergo elimination reactions in the presence of Alkoxides gives Alkene
 If Compound 1 undergo dehydrohalogenation gives nonaromatic compund (Does not obey( 4n+2)π rule )
 where as Compound B gives aromatic compund (Obeyes ( 4n+2)π rule )so this reaction is more favorable than first one
