velocity

Course Textbook Chapter Problem
N/A N/A N/A N/A
Question Details:
If a satellite orbits the earth at a velocity of 2.2 x 10 EE5 km/hr, this would be the same as how many ft/sec?

A different example of this question is:  a turtle is crossing a field, going 1 mile in 5 days.  what is his speed in ft/sec?

The correct answer to this is:  (ft/sec)=(1 mile/5 days)(5280ft/mile)(1 day/24hr)(1hr/60min)(1min/60sec)=1.22EE-2.

I'm just really having trouble with the velocity question.  Please help!!  Thanks!!!

Response Details:
1km = 3280.84 ft
1hr= 60min=3600sec
velocity = 2.2x105 *3280.84ft /(3600sec) = 2.005x105ft/sec
